A Morning at the Market

Ana goes to the on Saturday morning. She carries a small basket. The market is busy and friendly. She smiles and walks slowly.
At one table, a says, “Good morning!” Ana looks at red apples, yellow bananas, and green lettuce. The food looks fresh. She asks, “What is the price of the apples?” The vendor says, “Two euros for one kilo.” Ana says, “Thank you.” She chooses apples and bananas. The bananas are ripe and sweet.
Next, Ana sees bread. It smells good. She asks another vendor, “Is this bread fresh?” The vendor says, “Yes, it was baked this morning.” Ana buys some bread.
Ana pays ten euros. The vendor counts the money and gives her change. “Here is your change,” he says. Ana smiles and puts the money in her purse.
Before she leaves, Ana checks her . She has apples, bananas, lettuce, and bread. She is happy. She says, “Thank you. Have a nice day!” The vendors wave.
Ana walks home. She thinks about lunch. She will make a simple salad and eat fresh bread. Today is a good day at the market.
